An interesting feature of this set reflects the fact that for many years we had searched in vain for information about the artists responsible for this series. We knew it might possibly be Peter Archer, because he had signed some of his work for DecorCraft, but despite our attempts to get in touch with him, we had to wait until his son Ben got in touch quite independently to confirm that Peter was indeed the originator & main artist of this series.
Since then, of course, we became good friends with him right up until his death. But in all that time, we never noticed what was staring us in the face: he signed this background, in the bottom right-hand corner.
